Arlington National Cemetery (ANC)From the establishment of Arlington National Cemetery during the Civil War to present day military activities, this is a resting place for heroes, presidents, veterans and families. Learn more about these hallowed grounds on a tour than you every could on your own in the same amount of time. The interpretative service in Arlington National Cemetery will run from the visitors center to the National Parks Service's Arlington House, located atop the Cemetery's highest point, and back. Please note that on Memorial Day and Veterans Day, tours will not start until approximately 1:30 p.m., after services have ended. Also, Arlington National Cemetery is an active cemetery and tours may be temporaily haulted due to funerals or other events inside the Cemetery. Please note that when you purchase tickets, your voucher will have a departure time of 4:30 PM or 6:30 PM. Martz Express Shuttle (MSH)Express shuttle service runs between Arlington National Cemetery and Union Station, with key stops on the National Mall. This shuttle is the ultimate in transportation through DC, with the benefit of the same historical views as a regular tour but with direct transportation to each stop. Please note that when you pick up your tickets, your voucher will have a departure time of 5:30 PM. This identifies the last departure time (April 22 through September 2, 2013) of the day, from Union Station. The last departure time from Arlington is approximately 5:45 PM. The first departure from Union Station is 9:30 AM. |
